CELEBRATE RECOVERY

Mondays at 6:15 PM

@ Vertical Point Church

What We Do

Celebrate Recovery is a ministry designed to help hurting people. It is made up of regular folks like you and me, who are on a journey toward wholeness; seeking recovery from and celebrating God’s healing of life’s hurts, habits and hang-ups. Trained leaders provide safe, confidential, Christ-centered groups where people can grow. They offer their stories as fellow travelers on the journey to healing.

At Celebrate Recovery we believe that change is possible by the power of Jesus through this Biblical program.

Our Mission

The purpose of our ministry is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives. We open the door by sharing our problems, our experiences, strengths, and hopes with one another. By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become willing to accept God ́s grace in solving our lives’ addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors.

This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. We will discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power – Jesus Christ.

Confidentiality

It’s important to you and to us. We always highlight the importance of confidentiality in our groups and within our program. We want this to be a place where you feel like you can be yourself and be honest.

God turned My Mess Into His Message…

We work through 8 Recovery Principles based on the Beatitudes in the Bible.

  1. Realize I’m not God; I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing and my life is unmanageable.
  2. Earnestly believe God exists, I matter to Him, and He has the power to help me recover.
  3. Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ’s care and control.
  4. Openly examine and confess my faults to myself, to God, and to someone I trust.
  5. Voluntarily submit to any and all changes God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects.
  6. Evaluate all my relationships. Offer forgiveness and make amends for harm I’ve done to others.
  7. Reserve a time with God for self-examination, Bible reading, and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and gain power to follow His will.
  8. Yield myself to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by my example and my words.
